The Visorando route
In the spring, the melting snow transforms the Ruitor Waterfall into an impressive torrent. It is one of the most spectacular hikes in the region, accessible from La Rosière.

The Visorando route
Just a few kilometers from La Rosière, the hamlet of Le Monal in Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise is one of the best-preserved villages in the Alps. With its stone and wood chalets, fountains, and timeless setting, it’s a must-visit destination in the spring.
The hike up to Le Monal from Sainte-Foy is an easy hike that rewards visitors with exceptional views of Mont Blanc and the Vanoise Glaciers. The access road is expected to open in June.

The end of May typically marks the opening of the Petit Saint-Bernard Pass, one of the most scenic cycling routes in the Alps. From La Rosière, road cyclists can reach the Aosta Valley in Italy via this legendary pass, which rises to an elevation of 2,188 meters.
